Haas VF-OE / VF-2 and Haas VF-3 / VF-4 comparisons

Haas CNC Mills and their work envelopes

and some quick specifications below

The Haas VF-0E and Haas VF-2 have the same travels which are XYZ of 30" x 16" x 20". The difference is the Haas VF-0E isc Direct Drive (Belt Driven) and the Haas VF-2 is a geared head design. Like all Vertical Machining Centers they have a automatic Tool Changer of 20 Tools. RPM's can be 7,500 to 10,000 RPM with a Cat 40 Taper (Haas does make some Cat 50 Taper machines)

Much like their smaller brethren, the VF-3 and VF-4 actually share the same casting and

are the same size machine. But the VF-3 has XYZ Travels of 40" x 20" x 25" while the VF-4 has 50" x 20" x 25" Travels.  Also 7,500 and 10,000 RPM. Older models (Pre 1997 I think are 500 IPM rapids where 1998 and saw 710 rapids. Could be wrong again but in or around 2000 / 2002 Haas upgraded their VF line with

1,000 IPM Rapid Traverse Rates.
